About

Lika Form was founded in Gothenburg in 2025 by us – Linn and Karin - two entrepreneurs being curious to create a business around a product.

We share a special connection to the coast and life at sea. When we came across the artist behind the modern print of the Fisherman, Anna Corneliusson, everything fell into place. The result? Lika Form was established, and we are now building a carefully selected collection featuring the Fisherman and his newly arrived companion, the Fisherwoman. We hope you will find as much joy and delight in them as we do!

The Fisherman – a classic with a new twist

The traditional Fisherman has been given an upgrade. The same sense of sea, beard, and sou’wester – but now with fresh colours, a modern look, and a subtle smile. Perfect for those who love the feeling of the archipelago but don’t want their entire home in navy blue.

Behind the design stands Anna, who lives on an island outside Gothenburg. When her husband wanted a maritime painting, but she herself had grown tired of lighthouses in shades of blue, the idea was born: why not take the Fisherman – a true interior icon – and reimagine him? The result was a vibrant and personal tribute to the sea, without the feeling of an old skipper’s cabin.

The inspiration comes from the classic Fisherman motif, known in many versions – not least the painting by German artist Harry Haerendel. But Anna’s interpretation is more playful and colourful – and works just as well on a wall as on a tray or a t-shirt.

That it became the Fisherman is no coincidence. Fishing runs in the blood – several generations back, Anna’s family worked as seafarers and fishermen. Today, the tradition lives on as she and her family fish for mackerel on summer evenings – often during calm, mirror-like nights at sea. So yes, there is both feeling and experience behind the expression on that old man’s face.

The Fisherman – and now also the Fisherwoman!

The Fisherman is no longer alone. The classic figure in sou’wester and beard is still here – but now he shares the spotlight with a new, vibrant Fisherwoman. The same sense of salty air and coastal life, but with a modern twist.

The Fisherman design was created as early as 2008 by Anna, who lives on an island outside Gothenburg. The idea was born when her husband wanted a maritime painting, but Anna herself wasn’t fond of blue interiors or traditional sea motifs. Instead, she took the classic Fisherman and transformed him into something colourful, modern, and homely.

Now, many years later, it was time to expand the crew. In came the Fisherwoman – an equally characterful figure with the same warm expression and her own will. Together, they are a pair full of vibrant personality with a shared heritage in both the sea and tradition.

Behind the designs lies a long fishing lineage. Several generations back, Anna’s family worked as fishermen and skippers. As a child, she fished lobster with her father, and she still keeps the tradition alive, trolling for mackerel with her family during calm summer evenings at sea.

The Fisherman and the Fisherwoman are a heartfelt nod to coastal life – but in a form that fits just as well in a modern home as in a summer cottage.
